Managed Accounts Program (MAP)
A Comprehensive Full-Service Solution to Managing Long-Term, Multi-Asset Class Funds
The PFMAM Managed Accounts Program (MAP) combines the expertise of a professional investment consulting team, thorough and rigorous evaluation of investment managers, and ongoing management and administrative services to offer clients a comprehensive multi-asset class investment program for pension, endowment and similar funds.
PFMAM understands that institutional investors have many challenges in managing their long-term, multi-asset class funds. The advice they receive is often not independent, and some providers do not completely disclose fees.
Also, there is often a significant time gap between the recommendation, decision and implementation of an investment plan, resulting in lost opportunity to fully capitalize on the decision.
It is with these realities in mind that PFMAM developed its full-service, integrated Managed Accounts Program. MAP was designed to be a competitive, unbiased and cost-effective way to meet the investment needs of pension, endowment, foundation, insurance trust and other similar long term institutional investment funds.
By working with PFMAM as your discretionary asset manager, you can narrow the implementation timeframe down to days, saving time and missed opportunities and enhancing your fund's return.
Participation is a proactive investment process involving several components:
- Investment Policy Development
- Asset Allocation
- Manager Research
- Transaction Reporting
- Performance Measurement
- Manager Monitoring
- Regular Rebalancing
- Benefits Administration
Active Management
Actively managed accounts can benefit from systematic allocation of assets among interest classes, strategic and tactical decisions and attention to compliance with investment policies. All of these are fundamental to our method of managing accounts.
Benefits Administration
PFMAM and the custodian offer various services related to your investments: retiree benefit payments for pension plans, federal tax withholding, tax reporting and direct deposit of benefit payments.
Transaction Reporting
Clients receive monthly transaction reporting direct from the custodian. In addition, the custodian will provide online access to these reports, as well as other important account information, so you can view up-to-date information on your plan as frequently as you would like. Support staff is available to help you with any questions you may have about your custodian account or accessing information via the Internet.
