Lauren Brant joined PFM in 1995. In August of 2001, Lauren became an employee of PFM Asset Management LLC, an investment advisory firm owned by the shareholders of Public Financial Management, Inc. She serves as a client liaison for selected clients in the Western Region. She is also responsible for providing technical support and coordinating client services, presenting investment reports and working with clients to develop a customized investment policy that meets their particular needs. She has conducted workshops and seminars for clients' staff and board members on such subjects as permitted investments, developing investment policies and internal controls, and oversight to ensure safety of principal invested. In addition, she works with clients to analyze cash flows so we can better match clients' assets with their liabilities.

PFM is the Investment Advisor to the California Asset Management Program (CAMP), a JPA, which assists California public entities with the investment and tracking of bond proceeds in compliance with the IRS arbitrage rebate regulations. Lauren is very familiar with these regulations and is responsible for monitoring earnings and expenditures of the participants of CAMP. She prepares annual arbitrage rebate liability calculations, exception compliance reports, and penalty-in-lieu-of rebate calculations and sends these to clients regularly.

She is a member of the California Association of County Treasurers and Tax Collectors, the California Municipal Treasurers Association, the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers, and the California Association of Joint Powers Authorities.

Lauren is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
